What has green beer, great food and plenty of live music? If you guessed St. Paddy’s Day in OKC, don your favorite green party outfit and head to these lucky locations.

For the Family

Myriad Gardens : Performance by the Oklahoma Scottish Pipes and Drums, and the Hill Irish Dance School. Festive crafts, Irish food and more. Free to attend, activities are $5. 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Pioneer Library St. Patrick’s Day Come & Go Crafts: For kids ages 6 to 12. Create your own leprechaun using puffy pain, make your own blarney stones, watercolor shamrocks and a shamrock wand. 2–4 p.m. 300 Norman Center Ct.

St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt: Find treasures at Martin Park, fun for the whole family, at 5000 W. Memorial Road, OKC.

Free St. Paddy’s Day Party at Edmond Library: 10 S Boulevard, 3–4 p.m. Wear your favorite green item and come enjoy crafts, games and snacks. Ages 5 to 12. Please pre-register.


Parades & Parties

Tapwerks Block Party: March 17 in the parking lot east of Tapwerks. Live music, food and beer from noon until midnight.

O’City Parade: March 18, starts at 10 a.m. in Bricktown. Come enjoy live music, delicious food and lots o’ beer. This parade is family friendly with activities for all ages.

McNellie’s Public House: 1100 Classen Dr., OKC. McNellie’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Party is always a hit, and this year they’re making it a block party. DJ Hosty will play, along with bagpipers, plenty of Guiness and Fassler Hall will provide great food in a tent outside. The pub opens at 10 a.m., with the party starting outside by noon.

O’Connells Irish Pub & Grille: Norman, March 17. Enjoy green beer, karaoke and great food at classic Irish pub.



Luck of the Irish 5K: This is a virtual run, meaning you choose the time and place! Complete the run anytime in March 2017. Fifteen percent of every registration goes to the National Hemophilia Foundation. The cost is $17 and includes a medal, bib and shipping. Register online at


18th Annual O’Connell’s St. Patrick’s Day 8K: March 11, 769 Asp Ave, Norman. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Oklahoma.
